Run & Relax: A Perfect Parkrun Weekend in Carlow

It’s free, it’s inclusive, it’s for all ages and you can participate, or you can spectate. Parkrun is national, community initiative sponsored by Vhi and supported by Sport Ireland, that has grown in popularity throughout the county of Ireland. Every Saturday morning in 151 parts of Ireland, people gather to walk, jog or run 5k. As more locations are added all the time, fans of the event are starting to travel the length and breath of the country to find alternative and new places to run.

Carlow Town Park Run –

Come along every Saturday and meet at 09:30am at the Barrow Track, opposite the Carlow Town Park, Barrow Street. Although it’s free to join you are invited to register before you come to the run. On first registration you are then able to track, register improve your time. Organised by local volunteers they are a friendly bunch and love to welcome new faces to the event.

Tullow Park Run –

With similar timings to the above venue, you are invited to gather at 09:30am on any given Saturday at Rathwood Rath, Rath, Tullow, Co. Carlow. R93 X3F9
