There are so many reasons to visit Carlow in 2023. Starting off in the Spring, leave your credit card at home and enjoy the free and beautiful open spaces including the Blackstairs mountains, and endless other walking trails. Walk through the gardens of Ireland’s ancient East and snowdrops begin to pepper the ground and fill the air with the scent of springtime.

If walking, or the outdoors is not your thing, by day we have some great shopping to enjoy in Carlow town, or visitor attractions to discover including the Carlow Brewing Company, Carlow County Museum, or simply enjoying a cosy afternoon or evening at the local pub.

Families are also welcome to stay with us at Avlon House B&B and there are lots of places for kids to enjoy including the Chocolate Garden of Ireland, the Dome Family Entertainment centre and Mount Brandon Pottery School.
